Summary

In the tradition of bestsellers like The Plant Paradox and The Keto Reset DietThe Carnivore Code reveals the shocking truth about so-called healthy foods, and presents a complete program to reclaim your health with the true ancestral diet

We are living longer than ever before, but we aren’t living better—millions of people suffer from diseases like diabetes, depression, joint pain, heart disease, and autoimmune illnesses。 Millions more have tried and failed to lose weight and keep it off。 If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone。 And you know how frustrating and disheartening it is to cycle through diets, treatment plans, and prescriptions that provide little relief—and may actually add to your suffering。

There is a better way, and it starts with the food you eat。 The carnivore diet is scientifically proven to reduce inflammation, improve sleep, reduce joint pain, improve mental clarity, and help you lose weight。 Dr。 Paul Saladino has experienced the incredible benefits of a meat-based diet firsthand, and has helped hundreds of patients transform their health using his diet plan。

In this groundbreaking book, Dr。 Saladino reveals the shocking truth about foods we’re told are essential for good health, like whole grains, plants, and leafy greens。 He dismantles those myths one by one and reveals the healing potential of an all-meat diet: the diet our bodies were designed to eat。 With step-by-step guidance, complete with sample meal plans and frequently asked questions, The Carnivore Code is the only plan you need to experience the incredible benefits of the carnivore diet for yourself。

A paradigm shifter。I was very skeptical when I started, even though I have been doing primal/paleo for a while。But, like many things, once I got the answers from this book I then tested it out with myself and found that there is a lot of truth to the premise of the book。Now my wife and I are doing carnivore, with the very rare exception when attending parties and events, when we try to stay as close to carnivore as possible。If you've been struggling with health issues or weight loss plateaus whe A paradigm shifter。I was very skeptical when I started, even though I have been doing primal/paleo for a while。But, like many things, once I got the answers from this book I then tested it out with myself and found that there is a lot of truth to the premise of the book。Now my wife and I are doing carnivore, with the very rare exception when attending parties and events, when we try to stay as close to carnivore as possible。If you've been struggling with health issues or weight loss plateaus where nothing else has moved the needle, then you need to read this book (and Shawn Baker's book) and try it out for yourself。 。。。more

Comprehensive and interesting book that will make anyone reframe the modern diet & its effect on our bodies。 At times it was a little bit technical for me, the level of detail beyond what I require, however I couldn’t say it was unnecessary because of the seriousness of the matters being addressed。 The diet he proposes is practical enough, there are several “tiers” that you can engage with, so you don’t have to go all in to begin with。 It’s definitely given me some valuable insight into my own d Comprehensive and interesting book that will make anyone reframe the modern diet & its effect on our bodies。 At times it was a little bit technical for me, the level of detail beyond what I require, however I couldn’t say it was unnecessary because of the seriousness of the matters being addressed。 The diet he proposes is practical enough, there are several “tiers” that you can engage with, so you don’t have to go all in to begin with。 It’s definitely given me some valuable insight into my own digestive issues & I’ll definitely be following much of his advice。 。。。more

I first heard the author speak on an episode of the wellness mama podcast, and I was intrigued! The book is very well supported by research, and I’m interested to give this type of eating a try after several friends have found success and weight loss with it。

Fantastic book。 Love that Paul explains how he comes to these findings and provides sources for the information quoted。

You would be hard pressed to find a more well argued and researched book on the benefits of the carnivore diet。 He covers all bases: scientific, philosophical, and common sense。 When you dig into the ways you can start going carnivore, it's not as limiting or self sacrificing as you'd think。 You would be hard pressed to find a more well argued and researched book on the benefits of the carnivore diet。 He covers all bases: scientific, philosophical, and common sense。 When you dig into the ways you can start going carnivore, it's not as limiting or self sacrificing as you'd think。 。。。more

Author Dr。 Paul Saladino goes deep into molecular biology and scientific studies to make the case for the importance of meat in human health and to debunk many popular nutritional myths。 In a clearheaded and entertaining way, he explains the problems with antioxidants, resveratrol, fibre, oxalates, and lectins; teaches about human biology, like how the liver and gut work, how inflammation happens and how cholesterol is managed in your body; and debunks myths about meat (it doesn’t cause cancer, Author Dr。 Paul Saladino goes deep into molecular biology and scientific studies to make the case for the importance of meat in human health and to debunk many popular nutritional myths。 In a clearheaded and entertaining way, he explains the problems with antioxidants, resveratrol, fibre, oxalates, and lectins; teaches about human biology, like how the liver and gut work, how inflammation happens and how cholesterol is managed in your body; and debunks myths about meat (it doesn’t cause cancer, it doesn’t give you gout, and you won’t get scurvy eating a carnivore diet)。 I needed to do supplementary reading in order to understand some of the science, but it was well worth the effort because I ended up learning a lot about metabolism and molecular biology。 The first chapter is a fascinating overview of early human history, and the book includes practical tips for eating carnivore。 You can come away from this read and decide to keep eating vegetables, though you might be less enthusiastic about their supposed benefits。 Anyone with an interest in nutrition, diet, science, and/or self-improvement will be able to take something away from this book, but it's an especially important read for people who are suffering from autoimmune disorders or illnesses that are inflammatory in nature, noting that Dr。 Saladino makes a strong case that anxiety and depression may be due to inflammation in the brain。 I only wish the book had an index! 。。。more

This one starts VERY dry, and is incredibly technical。 My Grade 11 Biology struggled to keep up at times, but it is an incredibly well researched, though provoking look at diet。 It has changed the way I look at food, and how I eat。

Great read, very compelling。 Interesting thoughts written with enthusiasm。 Would've liked to see more breathing room with tier system and more open-ended carnivore-ish diets, but if you're chasing the dragon for a holy grail diet, this is a good one to explore。 Great read, very compelling。 Interesting thoughts written with enthusiasm。 Would've liked to see more breathing room with tier system and more open-ended carnivore-ish diets, but if you're chasing the dragon for a holy grail diet, this is a good one to explore。 。。。more

I really enjoyed his explanation of the Carnivore diet and all the ways it can be good for your health to eat like our ancestors did。 He backs up his book with lots of sound medical studies which I highly enjoyed。 Some of the verbiage can be a little difficult if your not familiar with how the body works or taken any form of physiology so be aware of that fact if you choose to read this book。

The information in the book is good and thought provoking。 The studies sited were compelling and the points Saladino made lots of sense。 The writing style was pretty cringey and very "hello, fellow kids"。 He kept talking about "crushing life" and being "radical"。 There was also lots of ableism and so much emphasis that a strong libido equals good health。 There was a complete erasure of asexuals。If this was my first exposure to a carnivore diet, I would think twice because of the unprofessional p The information in the book is good and thought provoking。 The studies sited were compelling and the points Saladino made lots of sense。 The writing style was pretty cringey and very "hello, fellow kids"。 He kept talking about "crushing life" and being "radical"。 There was also lots of ableism and so much emphasis that a strong libido equals good health。 There was a complete erasure of asexuals。If this was my first exposure to a carnivore diet, I would think twice because of the unprofessional presentation of the info。 。。。more

Wow! I have not given too many 5 star reviews over the years, but this book certainly deserves one! I'm currently doing the strict 30 day carnivore of just meat, salt and water and can already see some benefits。 Before this for a few months I was doing a keto diet so the transition wasn't very difficult。I enjoyed this book because it reinforces what I want to hear and it sounds like it makes sense。The problem is I don't know what the heck hes talking about most of the time。 It all sounds good but for all I know he's just talking。 But。。。 thats why I'm doing the 30 day thing, to see for myself。 I'm currently doing the strict 30 day carnivore of just meat, salt and water and can already see some benefits。 Before this for a few months I was doing a keto diet so the transition wasn't very difficult。I enjoyed this book because it reinforces what I want to hear and it sounds like it makes sense。The problem is I don't know what the heck hes talking about most of the time。 It all sounds good but for all I know he's just talking。 But。。。 thats why I'm doing the 30 day thing, to see for myself。 So far, so good。3 stars means I think its worth reading! 。。。more

。。。more
